WELFARE

Philippines

In association with Microsoft and Save the Children Philippines, AID:Tech was selected as a partner to disburse welfare entitlements to beneficiaries via Digital ID which harnesses AI to better predict needs of those beneficiaries.

Microsoft introduced the AI for Humanitarian Action initiative, a $40 million, five-year plan to support developers and companies interested in creating tools and services with the goal of helping humanity. The initiative focuses on four specific areas: refugees and displaced people, the needs of children, disaster response, and human rights.

AID:Tech and Save The Children Philippines teamed up to deliver welfare entitlements to beneficiaries in Marawi. Marawi was a region badly affected by conflict and a number of institutions are working hard to restore education and livelihoods for
more than 300,000 people most affected.

Because of AID:Tech’s proven capabilities in disaster response, humanitarian aid, and working in conflict zones. Microsoft chose AID:Tech as a technology partner to distribute welfare via Digital ID and their Azure platform.
